Folding Impellers
Folding impellers allow a manufacturer to get a large impeller in a closed container. 4” and 7” impellers can fold down to fit through a 2” NPT fitting and 10”, 12” and 14” can fit through a 6” NPT like that on an IBC Tote. Some efficiency is sacrificed in this process, but sufficient agitation can now be accomplished in areas that were otherwise inaccessible to mixing equipment.
