High Shear Impellers

Mixer Direct has a large selection of high shear mixing blades — also called a Cowles blade — designed to produce an emulsion. A Cowles mixing blade excels at converting the greatest proportion of energy from the motor to shear force. This conversion increases the yield of material to time-consumed ratio. With our bolt-on hub and weld-on hub commercial blade accessories, you can secure your Cowles blade quickly and reliably. At Mixer Direct, you'll find top-quality high shear impellers to make quick work of your mixing processes.

Ultra Shear Dispersion Blade, 4in Dia, 3/8in CH

Ultra Shear Dispersion Blade, 4in Dia, 3/8in CH

USB040037 $76

Ultra Shear Dispersion Blades rotate at high RPMs to facilitate the quick impartation of solids at a fine grind. The liquid contacts the blade and moves outward to to flow over the teeth breaking the agglomerations into increasing smaller particles. The Ultra Shear Blade includes extra surface area at the blade tip to facilitate even higher levels of shear in the product. This leads to even faster throughput! Typically used in paints and inks, they are now being used in a variety of industries for increased efficiency.

4 inch high flow dispersion blade with 3/8 inch bore

High Flow Dispersion Blade, 4in Dia, 3/8in CH

HFD040037 $110

Dispersion Blades rotate at high RPMs to facilitate the quick impartation of solids at a fine grind. The liquid contacts the blade and moves outward to to flow over the teeth breaking the agglomerations into increasing smaller particles. Most Dispersion blades have issues realted to sufficient fluid motion to get a batch to complete uniformity. Mixer Direct addresses that problem with the HFD line. Each blade has axial flow blades integrated into the geometry of the blade, providing extra flow for higher visocosity applications. Typically used in paints and inks, they are now being used in a variety of industries for increased efficiency.

General-Purpose Rotor Stator, 4 in Dia

General-Purpose Rotor Stator, 4 in Dia

RSSTATOR040GPS6 $1,821

The General-purpose stator works well in a variety of applications. The product is drawn from under the rotor stator and forced through large holes in the stator, working best to break down soft solids and generate a high flow.

Emulser Rotor Stator, 4 in Dia

Emulser Rotor Stator, 4 in Dia

RSSTATOR040EMS6 $1,827

The Emulser stator works best for creating fine emulsions or suspensions in lower viscosity mixtures. Emulser stators break down ingredients with small holes or a fine mesh, creating an ultra-high shear environment.

Angle Slot Rotor Stator, 4 in Dia

Angle Slot Rotor Stator, 4 in Dia

RSSTATOR040ASS6 $1,789

The Angle Slot stator is the best combination of high shear and adequate flow. It comes standard on our Post Mount Rotor Stators, and is rated for up to 10,000cps viscosity. As the rotor spins and forces the mixture through the stator, the angled vertical slots shred through solids and powders to create suspensions and homoginzation.
