High Shear Impellers

High shear impellers convert the majority of the energy of the motor to shear force. These high shear mixing blades excel at quickly breaking down solids and producing a fine grind. Also known as a cowles mixing blade, our high shear dispersion blades come available in three grades: the HFD which includes vanes for increased pumping, allowing it to do higher viscosities, the DBL which is a standard design used in the paint industry for many years, and the USB, a brand-new design to get even more shear out of single high shear cowles blade.

Stiffening plates can be used in conjunction with high shear dispersion blades to increase blade life. Our bolt-on hubs, weld-on hubs, and blade adapter shaft allow for easy installment of all high shear cowles blade. Order our reliable cowles mixing blade from Mixer Direct now.

2 inch dispersion blade with 1/4 inch bore

Dispersion Blade, 2in Dia, 1/4in CH

DBL020025 $64

Dispersion Blades rotate at high RPMs to facilitate the quick impartation of solids at a fine grind. The liquid contacts the blade and moves outward to to flow over the teeth breaking the agglomerations into increasing smaller particles. Typically used in paints and inks, they are now being used in a variety of industries for increased efficiency.

1.6 inch dispersion blade with 1/4 inch bore

Dispersion Blade, 1.6in Dia, 1/4in CH

DBL016025 $63

Dispersion Blades rotate at high RPMs to facilitate the quick impartation of solids at a fine grind. The liquid contacts the blade and moves outward to to flow over the teeth breaking the agglomerations into increasing smaller particles. Typically used in paints and inks, they are now being used in a variety of industries for increased efficiency.
